Searching for a great “how-to book” on Amazon provides more than 50,000 books from which to choose. And Googling the word parenting returns almost a quarter of a million hits!

Yes, the pool of parenting information is plentiful. But the best parenting advice found is neither on Amazon nor Google.

The best counsel on parenting comes from the oldest book on parenting - the book of Proverbs. For the next weeks, we will explore some passages from Proverbs to help us learn and understand how to be great parents.

Train Up a Child

This week we conclude our mini-series, Parenting from Proverbs, by taking a look at Proverbs 22:6, “Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” This saying is probably one of the most misused and misunderstood verses in the Book of Proverbs. In fact, it is probably one of the most misunderstood verses in the entire Bible.
