The child of an Airforce family, I was raised in Washington, D.C. I graduated from Norfolk State University and earned my Master of Divinity degree in 1983 from Capital Bible Seminary in MD.
In 1973 I joined Faith Community Church and began to train for ministry. Later I worked as an instructor at Washington Bible College. In 1988 I became the pastor of the Faith Community Church and then, the Pastor of the Urban Community Church of Norfolk. In 2016 I joined the staff of Tabernacle Church as the Associate Pastor of Outreach.
I recently completed my term serving on the Norfolk Public School Board and continue to serve on the boards of the Union Missions and Child Evangelism Fellowship.
My wife Shirley and I have four children and one granddaughter.
When I'm Not Working:
You'll probably find me playing the clarinet or performing with local orchestras.
