Summer Psalms

The Book of Psalms is often called the Bible’s songbook. In our new series, Summer Psalms, we’ll dig into these beautiful verses and emerge with a greater understanding and love for these timeless verses. Our goal? To explore the Psalms as a way of communing with God and knowing him more intimately.

Knowing God from the Psalms

In this message, Dr. Hap Struthers kicks off our series Summer Psalms.

Perhaps like no other book in the Bible, the Psalms open our eyes and hearts and enable us to see God is a way that we haven’t seen him before.

The Problem with Cruising

When I was a boy, my father used to take my mother and me on drives. We’d just get in the car and cruise with no particular destination in mind. We didn’t even take a map. We’d just drive.

The problem is that some father’s approach child-rearing like they do cruising: They have no particular destination in mind.

In this message, I’ll show you God’s roadmap for your children and how fathers can help their children arrive at the destination that He has destined for them. When it comes to parenting, let’s don’t drive aimlessly.

How to Keep Your Footing

How do you keep confidence in God when you find yourself surrounded by pain or in the midst of trying circumstances? And to make matters worse, it seems that those who don’t even care about God have it made, without a care in the world.

In this message, we’ll explore this very question. We’ll learn principles we can hold on to when we are going through problems and are tempted to envy others.

Honoring God Daily

How do you respond when you encounter the mighty work of God or consider the splendor of His creation? What about when you experience His mercy and compassion?

Do these things move our emotions? Do they cause us to tell the story of God’s wonderful goodness or to sing about His righteousness?

Believers should praise Him for the great things he has done for them and all living things. Join us In this message as we meditate on Psalm 145 and meditate on your wonderful works of our God.

What is Your Worship Language

We’re not all the same, so it makes sense that God has provided many different worship languages. Perhaps music helps you worship God, but others may worship by showing God’s love in practical ways or by praising Him for His creation.

In this message Tab Missionary, Carlton Deal takes us to Psalm 146 to discuss the “Activist” spiritual temperament. That is, worshiping God by fulfilling His mandate “to do justice and to love mercy.”

Join us as we consider loving God through social justice.

Keeping Short Accounts With God

In this message we continue our Summer Psalms series. The message for this week is, “Forgive Us Our Sins: Keeping Short Accounts With God.”

We cannot maintain spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical health apart from the regular acknowledgment and repentance of sin. Psalm 32 reflects on our urgent need to stay near to God by grappling with and resolving sin in our everyday lives.
